size is just a number these days… we prefer to work with actual measurements

don’t be put off by the size of this size guide - it’s easy! we’ve just given you all our measuring tips
(measurements in centimetres)

order the size that best matches your waist measurement (go up a size if you’re in the middle). make sure the bust and hips will accomodate your measurements

a seamstress can alter the bust/hips to fit, as well as the length (hollow to hem) if need be. if in doubt, any seamstress will tell you to go a size bigger than smaller… it's easy to take fabric away from a dress too large than it is to conjure fabric out of nothing when a dress is too small

BUST - wear the bra you'll wear with the dress. measure around the fullest part of the bust and across your shoulder blades (the tape measure should be level and taut, not tight)

WAIST - keeping the tape measure slightly loose for some breathing room, measure around the natural waist… bend to one side and find the crease (that's your natural waist - it’s often in line with your belly button)

HIPS - stand straight and measure around the widest part of the hips AND bum (important! people often measure too high and end up underestimating). measure in front of a mirror side-on for the best view

HOLLOW TO HEM - wear the shoes you plan to wear with the dress.  stand straight, chin up, feet close together and measure from the ‘hollow’ centre of the collar bone (base of the throat) to the floor between your feet or required length

if you’re wanting to order a custom* dress made to size for an additional $75, we’ll also need your
HOLLOW TO WAIST
- stand upright and measure from the ‘hollow’ centre of your collar bone to the waist (near the belly button, remember?)
